POSITION OVERVIEW
We are actively seeking a talented and creative full-time Industrial Designer to bolster our design department. Your role at WESTAND will be pivotal in shaping our design and furniture construction projects, all conducted from our company headquarters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create precise 2D construction plans using AutoCAD software, adhering to project specifications and design guidelines.
- Utilize 3D modelling software to bring design concepts to life and generate photorealistic renderings for client presentations.
- Conduct site visits to assess customer requirements, gather necessary measurements, and oversee the implementation of design plans.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with customers to understand their needs, provide project updates, and address any questions or concerns.
- Research and select appropriate materials for design projects.
- Collaborate closely with design and production teams, sharing insights, and ensuring seamless coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD software to create accurate 2D construction plans. Additional knowledge of SOLIDWORKS is appreciated.
- Familiarity with 3D design programs to visualize designs and create photorealistic renderings.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator
- Strong problem- solving skills and the ability to effectively manage projects to tight deadlines.
- Creative and analytical thinking to create innovative designs.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate cooperation with the rest of the team and with external partners.
- Knowledge of materials and production processes.
- Excellent knowledge of the English language.
- Car or Motorcycle licence holder.
WOODWORKING CNC OPERATOR
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are actively seeking a skilled full-time Woodworking CNC operator enhance the capabilities of our cutting and woodworking department. As a Woodworking Machine Operator at WESTAND, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the precise operation of woodworking machinery and contributing to the creation of high-quality products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proficient in setting up, programming and operating three and five-axis CNC woodworking machines.
- Ability to comprehend the specifications of the work and the desired outcome by interpreting construction and engineering drawings.
- Capable of overseeing machines during operations, making necessary adjustments to optimize results, and ensuring the quality of the output.
- Safety loading and unloading raw materials and installing tools and accessories as needed.
- Controlling and maintaining CNC machines to ensure their optimal functionality and performance.
- Collaborate closely with design and production teams
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a woodworking CNC operator.
- Proficiency in operating CNC machines and tools for woodworking.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings accurately
- Knowledge of AutoCAD software to support woodworking operations.
- Mechanical ability and strong mathematical skills for precision and problem-solving
- Commitment to adhering to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills for efficient task execution.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented work environment.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting and repairing CNC machines to ensure uninterrupted operation.
